Charlie Schneider

Charlie and his wife, Nancy, moved to Tumwater in 2015 to be closer to three of their eleven grandkids. Having been active through volunteerism for many years, Charlie wanted to bring that experience to both his new neighborhood and the community he proudly calls home. In 2020, he was elected to a full term for Tumwater City Council Position No. 7.

Since calling Tumwater home, Charlie has been actively involved with the Tumwater Youth Program, Camp to Belong summer camp for foster kids, Adopt-a-Road cleanup, Stream Team, Capitol Land Trust, Native Plant Salvage, and many other organizations within our local area.

As a member of the Tumwater City Council, Charlie serves on the following committees: Public Works Committee; Thurston County Economic Development Council; Urban Growth Management Subcommittee for Thurston Regional Planning Council; Tumwater HOPES; Water Resource Inventory Area 13 (WRIA 13) – Deschutes Watershed Restoration and Enhancement Committee
